Promotions and Funny Things

New Position at SDMW

We would like to thank Cheryl Magness, who has been faithfully proofreading articles, offering feedback, and correcting our editor's spelling as needed.

Therefore, she is now being promoted.... to...  assistant editor! If we paid her a salary, it would go up.

If You Can Believe the Spam....

It's kind of amusing to be in charge of comments for a blog. The spam ones are so pathetically hopeful, so desperately determined to promote their dubious links, and so dreadfully unable to construct sentences that sound like standard English. Here is an example of a typical one (minus the dodgy link):
Great beat ! I would like to apprentice while you amend your web site, how could i subscribe for a blog website?

The account aided me a acceptable deal. I had been tiny bit acquainted of this your broadcast offered bright clear idea.
That is why it was so funny when a spammer claimed that we needed to improve our English.
certainly like your web-site but you have to check the spelling on several of your posts.
Many of them are rife with spelling problems and I in finding it very troublesome to inform the reality on the other hand I will definitely come back again.

Facebook is Confused

  1. LOL! (Wondering if I'll make it through the spam filter . . . .)

We love knowing what thoughts and ideas this article sparked. Please leave comments, but do remember Luther's explanation of the eighth commandment, and "put the best construction" on the intentions of the author and other readers.
